iVex Framework 3.2.2Download the Latest Version of the Framework Here! The iVex Framework is the premier in php core system setups. The framework is designed with the coder in mind as it has been in non production development for over 5 years it is in use of several Top 100,000 websites and even on a Top 20,000 website. With this framework you can propel your website development into the next age embrace the Web 2.0 and usher in the Web 3.0. With the packaged javascipt frameworks and easy loading you will be creating rich user friendly websites within minutes. This framework is not meant for beginners. A good knowledge of PHP is required also a good knowledge of JavaScript if you plan on using the included javascript frameworks. Remember that the framework is tested and works best with PHP 5.2 or greater and with MySQL 5.0 or greater. Soon there may be a PHP 4 version of the framework available but even if there is it will lack the testing and support that is given for the latest framework. Performance You Can Count OniVex Framework is designed for performance. It has been benchmarked tweaked and then benchmarked again. Realizing the hinderance of Disk I/O the framework has been compressed into one file. The code is concise neat and not over commented which will allow for the framework to use just 100kb of memory when fully loaded. The frame also has a base execution time of .0004 on most apache systems. A very small footprint that will not affect the performance of the end product even when using all the features of a full production website. Please note that execution times may vary depending on server speed, hardware configuration, load and connection. HistoryYou may be thinking now, "I have never heard of this framework and yet it is Version 3.2.2." Well, there is a bit of a story behind that. It is felt that a bit of history may help in your decision to use the framework. The framework has been and will continue to be developed by Bryan Tong. In 2003 he started to build a Content Management system meant to be simpler and perform better than the bulky over featured alternatives. When starting on this system he wanted it to have the usability and ease of skinning that some of its more popular counterparts had. The content management system was called vMotion. That name of course now is in full use by VMWare and no longer available as a unqiue name for the CMS. It is claimed that the CMS was started before VMWares vMotion, but none the less the CMS was not put into production status and thus never made its public name. With a name change immenent Bryan spent some time thinking reading thinking writing names down etc. Asking a couple of friends led to some pretty good ideas of course a lot of joke names too. Though, one of them mentioned that he use something within his screenname. Thus, iVex was born. iVexWcs is the trading name for all software related to Bryan's works. First and foremost is iVexWcs eCommerce. A full featured eCommerce management system due for release late 2008. Also iVexWcs Blog which is a lite compact easy to use blog alternative to Wordpress that is available on the iVex Framework. iVex Blog will be released in late 2008 as a free script available to the open source community. Enough with the script plugging. You probably want to know a bit more about how the framework came to be. Well with all of these software releases they ran on a common group of systems a database system that allowed for standardized access to the SQL needed for the dynamic system. A template system used for separation of Display and Business logic now more commonly known as Model View Control. And a common loader that would load the systems on each page. Now as the methodology of this system of use of it became more common the system grew. New features were introduced and new problems arised. Several months ago after an overhaul of some of the base systems. Some serious security problems were noted along with some problems with the database drivers that would break input information. Thus it was time for something new. The iVex Framework was the answer. After several considerations and planning on how the new system needed to work and how it should be implemented along with version control etc. The system was ready for development. Consultation was key to making the use of this framework seem natural. The framework aimed to be easy to initialize cleanup the namespace of PHP and provide security for data transport as well as providing the base systems of web development such as Database Extraction and Theming. The framework is based on the central access point $iVex and all other name space is cleared upon initalization allowing developers to forget worrying about namespace issues related to loading the framework into existing scripts such as vBulletin or Invision Power Board. In conclusion, the framework is designed to be an asset to anyone who would like to stop the tedious part of getting database access working with views and knawing fingernails worrying about the security of their data transport methods. The framework is easy to updgrade and built for futureproofing. You wont ever have to do mass conversions to your script. It has been in development for the past 4 years and a lot has been learned in that time and applied the framework you can download today. |
